Oprah Along With ‘Selma’ Director & Actors To March In Selma

selma-oprah-mlkOprah Winfrey, along with Selma director Ava DuVernay , David Oyelowo  and Common will all participate in a march in Selma, Alabama to pay tribute to the birthday of the late Rev. Martin Luther King Jr on Sunday. The event will pay homage to King?s contribution to the voting rights protests of 1965 in Selma, which is the subject of the film and his civil rights leadership. According to Paramount studios, they will also hold two free screenings of the movie on Monday for Martin Luther King, Jr Day.  The event is slated kick off all day on Sunday with Democratic Rep. Terri Sewell, the only black member of Alabama?s congressional delegation to moderate a panel discussion at Selma High School.
